The 2008 Tailgating Season was fun (as always) and challenging. The Fork You Tailgating Club kicked off the season with an appearance on the WGN Morning News with Steve McMichael as a special guest. One of our Tailgate Parties was also used as the backdrop for a Deep Dish Pizza Throwdown between Mark Malnati and Bobby Flay on the Food Network.

We had fans for the first time from Connecticut, Maryland, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. We have now hosted fans from 41 different states and 7 different countries. (still looking for fans from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Deleware, Idaho, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont)

The first two Tailgate Parties both had over 100 guests! We also had warmer than usual temperatures for the Fall. During our 12 hour Eagles-Bears Tailgate Party, we went through over 200 bags of ice!
The last two Tailgate Parties of the season brought colder than normal temperatures for the Winter. Lots of Beer flavored Slurpees! However, it gave us an excuse to build some of our biggest/warmest fires!!!.
